The Art of Love

Julie Anderson thought that she had the perfect marriage of 35 years, but when her husband passes away, her world crumbles down around her, exposing the reality of their long marriage. The secrets he kept and the memories that she had repressed all start to emerge, crushing her under the weight of all that she had sacrificed over the years. As she begins to heal, she starts to rebuild her life, returning to her love of art.

When she runs into Marc Diaz, the much younger brother of her childhood best friend, their friendship quickly turns into more than she expected. Having to justify her feelings for Marc to her two adult children, she struggles with the idea she is too old for him, while walking the line of telling her kids the truth their father.

"It was almost impossible to put this book down. The story is intriguing and layered with elements of grief, deception, manipulation, and friendships. The way memories can change and adapt over time. And at the root of it all, love.
